Every project will begin the moment our team comes to your home. We will inspect your construction needs and apply them to create a cost-effective design. Our experience has been outstanding. Our project was small enough to be ignored by other companies. I called John and immediately got great vibes about him: professional, to the point, but more importantly, knowledgeable. Our deck looks great! The job was done on time, with care, and on schedule.
Would hire them again, and, certainly recommend the company.

My wife and I had brought in a lot of contractors to get an estimate on a addition at our house for our growing family. All of the contractors spent more time telling us what we couldn’t do rather then what we could. When John came he listened to what we wanted and told us we could make it happen. The entire process of getting permits and inspections with our town was a real pain but John always took corrective action fast to keep things moving with our project. I have to be honest and say that John and I didn’t always see eye to eye throughout the addition but never did we argue or did he disappear. John was always very responsive with my wife and I and took the time to explain things and go over any questions or concerns with us. I am very pleased with the final outcome of our addition. We ended up putting a second floor above our entire house which was originally a ranch and we did a “great room” family room out the back of the house which our kitchen opens up into with a open concept. The kitchen was also remodeled in this project. Upstairs we added 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and moved our laundry room to upstairs. Bottom line is this project was only possible with John and his guys! The price was right where I would have expected it to be whereas other contractors were trying to bend us over. I am extremely proud of the home we have built and that I am able to provide for my family. I would absolutely recommend John to anyone who has a project to do. He is a stand up guy who just wants to do the right thing by you and make sure you are happy and satisfied at the end of the day. None of what we did would have been possible without John. Also his guys that work for him are very kind and great workers with good knowledge as well.

Hired John and his crew to do a small addition. (Bathroom/laundry room). After complaining about the pitch in the shower and shower pressure numerous times, they completed the job without correcting the issues. Also, the project took 1 year to complete. I brought my several complaints to John’s attention through out the process, but he only argued and told me I was wrong. I’m still fixing issues after they are gone. I would never recommend them. Horrible experience.

I treated you and your entire family with the upmost respect as well as my crew. I do apologize that the building department in your town lost paperwork several times postponing the project. We always try to correct any issues regarding a project. First time I’m hearing about door knobs. Project came out beautiful as the pictures on display show. Thank you -

John and his team went above and beyond on our project (splitting a bedroom into two rooms). They were fast, responsive, and considerate with the dust and debris, which was especially important since our kids sleep on the same floor. We will surely use them for our next project.

So far things are moving along. He showed up when we scheduled our appointment which I cannot say for MANY other contractors I have called. They respond to my questions promptly. We have not started our project yet. WE are still working out the plans

John agreed to come to my home to give me an estimate for a basement remodel. He did not show up for the appointment and he did not call to say he was not coming.

It’s a shame you have to post negativity because your schedule does not allow any other days than fridays. And you canceled on me once and had to wait another week. -

I used Garden State CS Builders to build an addition, adding a second garage and a new master bedroom & bathroom above it. I also had them add french drains to the backyard and open up the internal wall between the garages. They did a terrific job, great price, followed plans, and completed on time. I would certainly use them again for any future projects I might have!

I had 3 projects done with this contractor. 4 years ago had a few windows replaced with new siding done - great job done. Following that we decided to give him a bigger job , So 3 years ago we hired him to build our 2nd floor into a dormer. Complete gutting of the upstairs- all need . Very happy with the quality of work, stuck to the estimated time table, no unpleasant surprises .
In many cases took the extra mile to accommodate us and make my wife happy....This was a big job and we couldn't be happier.
John is a gentleman , honest and hard working. I often recommend him to my neighbors and he has done work at 3 of their houses. -

He was nice, but some sort of communication issue between him and I left me with some unhappy results. Kitchen Ceiling painted in the center and not in it's entirety. Sand left in my deck area after completion of a project which I am still cleaning up weeks later.

I am very pleased with Garden State Builders ! We recently hired them to build a deck. We could not possibly be happier.
We called for an estimate and received a call back immediately . We spoke with the owner directly . He was polite, professional and flexible. He came to our home and provided my husband and I with a free estimate, the information we needed to make an informed decision, and most importantly a competitive FAIR price.He gave an accurate timeline of each phase of the project , kept us informed daily on his progress or unforeseen delays, and respected our scheduled date of completion . His crew created an organized and clean work site, and left nothing for us to clean up. Johnny Bednarz goes above and beyond to provide a great job, at a fair price with supreme customer service ! That has not always been our experience with contractors so it's our pleasure to share our experience . -

Garden State Cs Builders Employees
We needed to have our decking replaced since it was old. A friend recommended Garden State. John came over, he seemed pleasant and knowledgeable. He gave us a price that was fair. John did the job, very neat, didn't surprise us with any extra costs. I will call him soon for a bigger job.
