Years later we are still dealing with the major mistake we made in selecting P3 Construction for our remodel in San Francisco. First of all, Seamus Canning is no longer a part of P3. We found P3 through friends that had used P3, specifically Seamus. We were not informed that Seamus had left when we signed our contract with Julie Kase & Robin May. I cannot stress enough the importance of selecting the right contractor. Our project did not stay within budget or time they initially quoted. However, we expected delays/additional costs along the way - and that is the least of our issues. Our project went sideways from the beginning. We suspected something was wrong as we did not seem to have a skilled foreman or skilled laborers assigned to our remodel. The subs hired by P3 would show up at our home and not be clear on what they were supposed to be doing. We were not aware of quality control measures performed by P3 regarding the subs work or work performed by P3 employees. We were offered "credits" when the workers caused repeated damage to our new items/home rather than replacements or full repairs. As our project continued to fall off track in every way, Julie Kase, became less involved with increased absenteeism. When Julie was asked to explain the continued issues and setbacks, rather than display accountability and professionalism, I was referred to as a bully for wanting answers/solutions. Julie was unable to professionally communicate issues and provide a clear path forward to us. Finally, we had to hire a third party consultant to inspect the work and assess damages. We have hired another contractor to get things pointed in the right direction.
